We’ve Moved—Now Let’s Build Their Forever Home
Riza Animal Sanctuary has a new home—almost 3 hectares of land in the hills of Covas, Central Portugal. After four years of running this sanctuary in an old location, we know one thing for certain: these animals deserve more than we’ve been able to give them so far. More space. More safety. More joy.
The land is ours. The animals are already here. Now we need to build their world.
We’re raising €10,000 to create:
- Individual shelters for every animal family
- A chicken village where our hens can finally thrive
- Covered feeders and a goat playground (because yes, they’re troublemakers—and a bored goat is a dangerous goat)
- A cozy campervan home for our volunteers
- An irrigation system to protect everything we’re building from Portugal’s summer fires
Four years have taught us that this work is only possible with community—with the people who show up, who share, who donate, who believe these lives matter.
If you do too, every small contribution makes a real difference. Let’s build this together.
